Many Ways to be an Ecologist – Solo Show and Artist in Residence – Moray Art Centre (2018)
I was invited to be Artist in Residence at the Moray Art Centre, at the Findhorn Foundation. The residency ran in tandem with my solo show ‘Many Ways to be an Ecologist’.
During my residency, I held drawing and printmaking workshops for teenagers, recorded interviews with some of the centre’s staff and studio artists and engaged the public with chats and written prompts in the exhibition space. Some of the prompts included ‘What does being ecological mean to you?’, ‘Is there a difference between nature and culture?’ and ‘What do you think the purpose of art is?’. Many people also drew a response to the exhibition, which I was glad to see!
